March 9^th - - The Environmental/Sustainability Career and Internship Fair is designed to enhance awareness careers and employment opportunities within the field. It will bring together public and private sector employers whose expertise and interests lie in this area. This event will be held from 11am - 3pm in the Colony Ballroom at the Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland, College Park campus. The event will be followed by an from 4:30-6:30pm (location to be announced)

March 10^th - by Brian Seipp - Come hear a discussion of the roles of watersheds of all sizes, from expansive forests to a partially wooded lot. This lecture is sponsored by the University of Maryland Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture. It will begin at 6pm in the Biology Psychology Building (BPS) Room 1250, on the University of Maryland, College Park campus. A brief Q&A period will follow the lecture as well as a reception. All are welcome. No RSVP required.

March 10^th - Dr. Dan Fiscus, an assistant professor of biology at FSU, will present the seminar on Thursday, March 10, at 5 p.m. in room 327 of the Compton Science Center on the campus of Frostburg State University. The seminar is part of the FSU Biology Department spring seminar series. This presentation is free and open to the public. March 11^th - Dr. Vivek Shandas,?Portland State University,?Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning?- This seminar, sponsored by the Center for Urban Environmental Research and Education, will be held on Friday at 2:00pm in the Technology Research Center, Room 206, on the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus, and is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Visitor parking passes for the TRC lot may be purchased for $4.00 in the CUERE office in TRC 102/105 on the UMBC campus shortly before seminar. ?

This year's theme, Connecting the Classroom to the Campus to the Community, emphasizes the importance of the relationship between the physical space of campus buildings and infrastructure, curriculum, culture, capital, and community. -
