April 1st - 30th - Eco House on the University of Maryland College Park campus is hosting a variety of events in celebration of Earth Month - April 2010. View the full for the month of April.

April 5th - 9th - at University of Maryland, College Park - This week-long campaign aims to increase motorists' and bicyclists' awareness of their shared responsibility for road safety and promote bicycling on the UMCP campus.  During the week of April 5th, the campus police will be provide information about sharing the road to cyclists and motorists during routine traffic stops, while Bike Ambassadors located at Stamp Student Union west entrance, Glenn L. Martin Hall front bike racks and McKeldin Library bike racks will provide cyclists with related information and minor maintenance. Presented by: Department of Transportation Services (DOTS), Public Safety, and Campus Recreation Services (CRS)?Co-Sponsors: Student Government Association (SGA), Off-Campus Student Involvement, Wellness Initiative.

April 5th - Beyond the Classroom presents An Evening with Margaret Keck: "Greening Brazil: Environmental Activism in State and Society." Event will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, in the 1102 South Campus Commons, Building 1; on the University of Maryland, College Park campus. For more information, visit , or contact Dr. James V. April 7th - - Dr. Henry Miller, director of research for the Maryland State Museum at historic St. Mary's City, addresses these questions as Salisbury University's 2010 Wilcomb Washburn Distinguished Lecturer in American History. He speaks 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center, on the Salisbury University campus. Admission is free and the public is invited. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change Initiative

April 9th -  Dr. Katherine Squibb? Department of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine?- Seminar will be held on Friday at 2pm in the Technology Research Center, Room 206, on the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus. The seminar, which is a part of the CUERE Seminar Seriesm, is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Visitor parking passes for the TRC lot may be purchased for $4.00 in the CUERE office in TRC 102/105 on the UMBC campus shortly before the seminar.
