Nov. 20th (Friday) - CUERE Seminar Series - Dr. Jason Kaye, The Pennsylvania State University, Department of Crop and Soil Sciences Seminar will be held on Friday at 2pm in the Technology Research Center, Room 206, on the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus, and is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Visitor parking passes for the TRC lot may be purchased for $4.00 in the CUERE office in TRC 102/105 on the UMBC campus shortly before seminar.

Nov. 19th (Thursday) - - 7:30pm, Prince George's Room, Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland, College Park campus - Meet and mingle with the students involved with many of the green student organizations on campus. Dessert and drinks will be provided.

Nov. 19th (Thursday) - The University of Baltimore School of Law will host its third annual symposium. The daylong event, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Venable Baetjer Howard Moot Court Room located in the John and Frances Angelos Law Center (the School of Law building on the UB campus), 1415 Maryland Ave., will focus on the protection and restoration of the Chesapeake's native fish and shellfish. J. Charles Fox, special adviser to the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, will open the symposium with remarks at 10 a.m. Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler is scheduled to speak at 12:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public; pre-registration is required. For more information, contact the University Relations office at 410-837-5739.

Nov. 18th (Wednesday) , from 6 - 8:30pm in the UC Ballroom, 3rd Floor, on the main University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus - Featuring Jim Greenwood, President and CEO of BIO. Come hear Mr. Greenwood's perspectives on the opportunities that exist in biotechnology to make a major impact on health care, food supply and alternative sources of energy. This free event will connect professionals from a variety of fields and provide a forum for networking and dialogue. To register .
