Friday, April 24th. Ecofest is the annual Earth Day celebration organized by UMBC Students for Environmental Awareness. Events held at University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  

 . Events will focus on environmental stewardship, taking action, and celebrating and serving the Earth. All events are free and most are open to the public.  Frostburg State University.

- 10:00am - 3:00pm, sponsored by the University of Baltimore. Join the Aquarium in a party for Our Ocean Planet, honoring the new dolphin show and celebrating Earth's watery world. Explore what you can do to enjoy, protect and respect our blue planet-starting with your own backyard. Event is at the National Aquarium, 501 E. Pratt Street in Baltimore. This seminar will be held at 2 PM in the Technology Research Center, Room 206, on the campus of University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Visitor parking passes for the TRC lot may be purchased for $4.00 in the CUERE office in TRC 102/105, on the UMBC campus shortly before the seminar.

April 15, 2009 at 6:30 in the Architecture Building Auditorium - Lecture: "Sustainability, Materiality, and Architecture." The University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation along with Emerging Green Builders are hosting Blaine Brownell of to discuss "Sustainability, Materiality, and Architecture". This event is free and open to the public. AIA CES credit is available. Unless otherwise noted, lectures are held in the Architecture Building Auditorium.
