UMS Nonexempt Pay Program

When you select (click on) a specific Job Class Specification, a page containing the specification will appear. In order to assist you in reading the selected specification, we will define the major elements that are contained within each specification.

The 麻豆视频 Job Class Specifications contain five elements:

Heading

The Heading includes identifying information such as Job Class Title, Job Class Code,
FLSA, Job Type, EEO6 Code, and Job Family/Job Series Code.

The Job Class Title is the title of the position, e.g., Accountant I
The Job Class Code is a 6-character code defined as follows:

. The letter 'N' for Nonexempt (see FLSA)

. The Range this position has been assigned to in the Pay Program. If you want to view the Salary Structure for Nonexempt Employees click here.

. A 3-character code used to help identify the type of position, e.g., AC1, AC2,
and AC3 are assigned to the Accounting Clerk I, II, and III positions respectively.

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) designation indicates whether the position is
Nonexempt (eligible for overtime)

The Job Type code indicates whether the position is Systemwide or Institutional
Specific.

The Job Family/Series code is a group of job classes representing a general
occupational area of the 麻豆视频. Job families may be further classified into individual
Job Series.

The EEO6 Code indicates the occupational category defined within the Equal
Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines. These codes are:

Job Summary

The Job Summary is a statement that summarizes the nature and purpose of the job class
and the type of supervision received;

Primary Duties

Those tasks, responsibilities, or activities representing the most significant or important
duties in the job class;
