Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Regents Advancement Committee Meets April 29

Md. (April 26, 2010) - The University System of Maryland (Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ) Board of
Regents Advancement Committee will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 29. The
meeting will be held in the Chancellor's Conference Room in the
Elkins Building at the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ headquarters, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.
Items
before the committee include:
- Campaign Update - Significant Gifts;
- A report on the new fundraising initiative, A Matter of Degrees: Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Leading the
Way in Degree Completion. The initiative will supplement the $500,000
grant given to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in honor of Chancellor William E. "Brit" Kirwan's
selection for the Carnegie Corporation Academic Leadership Award;
- Internet Giving and the Use of Social Media,
including recent Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ-sponsored seminars regarding social media;
- Annual Fund and alumni giving trends.
