New Academic Programs, Fall 2007 Enrollments on Education Policy Committee Agenda, Nov. 13
ADELPHI, Md. (November 8, 2007) - The Committee on Education Policy of the University
System of Maryland (Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ) Board of Regents will meet Tuesday, November 13, 2007,
at University of Maryland University College (UMUC). The public meeting will convene
at 9:30
a.m. in Rooms 2100-2102 of
the UMUC Inn and Conference Center, 3501University Boulevard East, Adelphi, Maryland.
Action items before the
committee include

New academic program proposals for a B.S. in sports management at Bowie
State University, M.S. in kinesiology at Towson University, and Doctor
of Pharmacy at University of Maryland Eastern Shore;
-
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ endorsement
of the goals of the NASH (National Association of System Heads) Access and
Success Initiative.
In addition, the committee
will receive reports on the status of the system-wide marine, estuarine, and environmental
science (MEES) program; University of Maryland, College Park's Middle States
Accreditation; Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ faculty workload; and opening Fall 2007 enrollments and FY
2008 estimated FTE (full-time equivalents).
