Addition to Public Session Agenda for Â鶹ÊÓƵ Board of Regents Special Meeting February 24
Adelphi, Md. (Feb.
23, 2016) -- The University System of Maryland (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) Board of Regents will
hold a special meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24. The meeting will
be held in the Second-Floor Conference Room in the Elkins Building at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ
headquarters, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.
The board first will convene in public session. In public
session, the board will engage in a discussion and feedback regarding Senate
Bill 1052.
Following this discussion, the board will vote on whether
to reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the board will discuss a
matter that falls under the administrative matters exemption of the Open
Meetings Act. That matter is a
discussion of strategy for communicating the Â鶹ÊÓƵ's position regarding proposed
legislation.
