Regents' Technology Committee to Meet November 12 at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Office
The Technology Committee of the University System of Maryland (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) Board of
Regents will meet in public session on Monday, November 12 at 9 a.m. in the
Chancellor's Conference Room at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Office, 3300 Metzerott Road in Adelphi,
MD.
The committee will consider several agenda items, including:
- Report on the Regents' initiative to bridge the digital divide at various
campuses in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ
- Report on the successful completion of an Internet2 connection via an agreement
between the Â鶹ÊÓƵ, the University of Maryland, the University of Maryland, College
Park, and the University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development. The
connection allows faculty and students at all Â鶹ÊÓƵ institutions to connect with
colleagues and special resources at Internet2 member institutions and other
similar arrangements.
- Exploring potential partnership for information technology initiatives within
the Â鶹ÊÓƵ
